Introducing the new Fitzpatrick Team.

Joe has decided to put together an amazing team of professionals to maximize his client’s experience.  Now with a four member team, every aspect of your real estate transaction will be covered.  Joe Fitzpatrick’s 15 years of experience will help him lead the team and provide guidance to its members.

Justine Kurland has been working with Joe for over two years, handling rentals and assisting Joe in every aspect of his sales. Renae Burns, a new agent will be learning all aspects of the business, and will become a valued member of the team. Zach Allen, who will focus on rentals, has just obtained his license but his go-getting attitude will surely make him successful.  Kate Winthrop rejoins Joe after a hiatus, working as our administrator and marketing coordinator.

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Joseph Fitzpatrick has called Newport, RI his home for the last 17 years. An avid soccer player and local restaurateur he is married to his lovely wife, Lisa, and had their first child this summer.

With over 15 years experience in the real estate industry, Joe originally honed his skills in the rental and property management areas while he progressed into residential sales and the investment portfolio arena as well.  Joe is well respected by his peers and has attained many accolades and awards including being the No. 2 annual grossing agent in the state, the RE/MAX 100% Club, the Platinum Club, the President’s Club and was inducted into the prestigious RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 2007.  This seasoned professional and his team will be able to assist you with all of your real estate needs.

Justine Kurland grew up in Longmeadow, Massachusetts and has had an interest in homes from an early age, with memories of going to open houses in the neighborhood on the weekends.

After high school, she attended Tufts University in the Boston suburbs and majored in economics and minored in political science.  There she played tennis and squash and served as captain of the team for two years.

After college, unsure of what career path she wanted to take, she began bartending to pay the bills and eventually came to find her way to Newport for a summer with some friends.  After staying for a few months she realized there was potential to call this place home, and has lived here full-time since 2003. In 2008 the opportunity to learn the real estate profession came about under Joe Fitzpatrick at Re/Max, who has years of experience under his belt.  She specializes in rentals, property management and sales, while assisting Joe with all aspects of his transactions as well.

Zach Allen was born and raised in Middletown, RI but recently have moved to Newport, having lived on the island his entire life he has a great knowledge of Newport County. He is newly licensed real estate agent and is also attending college. During the summer he runs the surf camp program and is a climbing instructor at the YMCA. He also lived and worked in Costa Rica for five months as a surf instructor and white water rafting guide for Outward Bound in the 2009 season. He's excited to learn the business of real estate and follow in his father's footsteps, Bruce Allen, broker/owner of RE/MAX Professionals of Newport. His concentration will be in rentals with the hopes of becoming an expert in this area.

 
Kate Winthrop was born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island and considers herself to be very lucky to be a Newporter. She graduated Rogers High School in 1996 and continued on to Johnson & Wales University thru 1998 studying Travel & Tourism. She has over 10 years experience in real estate, administration, & property management. She has been very active with the Newport County board of Realtors as the chairman of the Rental Committee for several years, teaching new agents the how to's of rentals, as a member of the local rebuilding day to help local families in need, helping with the board's golf fundraiser for a local charity multiple years, and also serving at the state level on the rental committee. Her knowledge of and experience in Newport County allow her to assist the team in all aspects of local real estate.

Renae Burns was born & raised in Co. Monaghan, Ireland where she remained until the age of 22. A keen traveler, she first left for Australia & explored the east coast for a few months. Then in 2008 she moved to Newport to work in her family’s Irish Pub. She has lived in Newport for nearly 4 years where she realized her passion for real estate living among the beautiful historic homes on Aquidneck Island. Renae has an outgoing & friendly personality. She enjoys meeting new people on a daily basis which was a big factor in choosing her career.
